concert

Last night was the Sarah McLachlan concert. I have been a fan since 1988 when her first album came out. Been to the small venues and the large. This time for some reason it was even more special seeing her than normal. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I have not been to a concert in years, or that so much has changed in my life. I now understand those teenage girls who cry over boy bands when they see them in concert. As we pulled up to the venue, I was a bundle of nerves. I was so excited that my stomach felt as though it had a million butterflies competing for space within me. Then the opening act. Butterfly Boucher. She was absolutely fantastic. I definately recommend her album. Then it was time for Sarah (see i speak about her like i know her, i don't, but hey, i've been a fan long enough i think i've earned the right *g*). She came out with the band. Beautiful as ever. A voice that makes my heart swell and the hairs stand up on my arms. I didn't stop smiling the whole time. Singing to every song. (yes i know em all) Her songs have always mirrored my life. Its rather interesting. Perhaps that is why i am so enamoured with her. Needless to say it was a fantastic night (insert the F word before Fantastic and You will know how I really feel). I am still on a high. Plus, I get to see her two more times before this concert series is done. A lucky girl I am.

Knitting content: I have been in training sessions this week for work. So I have been knitting when able. Currently I am working on a Shop Model out of mission falls 1824 cotton for the store (vera tank) and for myself I am working on a navy rowan dk chickami. Right now I am focussed on some tanks because I can wear them under my business suits. As for Charlotte. I tried to work her when people were around. Not a good thing. So I screwed up somewhere. I put it down because I haven't had the time to deal with her. But I am so close to the end. I need to get on it.

**don't forget you can email me from the link on the side bar that talks about notifications, I'm getting too much spam on my comments so they are turned off for now**

keepsake anyone?

Look who I received a package in the mail from today:

I opened it up and look what I found:

2 count them, 1 ... 2 kits for the Keepsake shawl. Now I have to finish charlotte, but at least it is here and an incentive to knit my lil heart out!

Lost in Transition

I am currently changing jobs, Monday is the last day at one, and the following Monday is the start of another. Full time, more money for yarn ... who can argue with that?

so for now, here is a picture of the munchkin!

forgive me ...

Forgive me Audreyette's for I have sinned.

~looking over at the side bar and the audrey button that says I started on a certain date~

All I have done is swatch Audrey. I have yet to participate in the actual knitting of the garment.

see ...

I have been working on a store model for about ummm well since the fall of last year. I of course put it away because I was frustrated at the fact that I had messed the lace part on the bottom. Then once I had forgiven it, I picked it up again only to have a garter ridge go all the way across the top (in reality only 15 stitches, but hey, it was an excuse to leave it alone for a bit) and put it away again. Finally I made the decision to finish it. (the picture i took is crap so I need to get another one taken at some point but trust me its cute).

So its the month of July and I've already finished something. I think that I might have to make a rule to finish something each month. Even if it is only a scarf or some other project.

Now, for a brand new knitting basket from Lantern Moon:

And here is what is inside:

It's Charlotte. Isn't she pretty in her new basket. She likes her home. But likes it more when I spend time with her. Which thankfully I have been doing lately. I have also added a link to the Charlotte Knit Behind. If you have been contemplating knitting charlotte but have been putting it off, please don't do it any longer. Jump in, with both feet.

**btw, you will notice that the comments have been nixed. I am getting spammed too much, so if you want to msg me just send me an email, the link is up on the side bar**
