March 25, 2006still no pictures, however ...No. You are correct, no pictures yet. I find that I am slightly to lazy to actually post any. However, let me tell you a story and then update you on my knitting. The Story. A woman addicted to knitting is in search of the perfect yarn store. Not necessarily the the perfect yarn or sweater. There are whispers here and there and everywhere. A place. Could it be the one? However will this woman addicted to knitting find it. She stops. Listens. And hears it. The clicking and clacking of knitting needles, the soft squeals of joy as other finger yarns and the chatter of a warm and happy and relaxing atmosphere where knitters can just be. She had found it before but the distance was just too far to travel on a daily basis. So now, she followed the sounds. Along the street she walked. Peering into shop windows as she was want to do. A used bookstore with hard to find out of print books on one side. An classic cafe on the other (the old school type, not one of those that you can see on every block), a flower store and then what looks to be a glass shop of some sort. Then ... stopping. The noise is getting louder. Peering into the window. She sees it. She has found it. Rushing to the store. Stopping. Inhaling the smell of fresh paint, flowers and .... you guessed it ... yarn. YARN ... PEOPLE!! Unbelievable. And perfect.... The yarn is perfect. The furniture is perfect and most importantly, the atmosphere is perfect. The type of place you can just sit down and relax and knit with no worries. Reality. So last night with Chick Flicks and Knit night at Make 1 Yarn Studio. It was fantastic. Sitting there in the stuffed chair, drinking some wine, knitting and watching a movie. The chatter of other knitters who are talking about their projects settling down as the movie starts. It was AWESOME! Knitting. I have finished my side to side Noro vest. It turned out great. So of course this starts the yearnings for a new sweater. Then I cam across the Somewhat Cowl from Wendy over at Knit and Tonic. This was a perfect sweater for my very first yarn purchase at Make 1. What did I buy? RYC's Cash Soft DK in Poppy. It is beautiful. And soft. The pattern calls for 24 st/inch. This yarn is 22 st/inch and wouldn't you know it I am getting 25 st/inch and it is the perfect texture for the yarn. But its all workable!! I am also working on my Eunny sweater. However, not tons. Nor much on my SFC sweater. Mostly because its been exhausting at work. Life. Life has been hectic too. I am working my butt off. Which of course I love but hey, everyone needs a break every now and then. We won a big award at work which I helped put together the presentation for which helps after putting in long hours on it. I started a running class too. But my knees really hurt. So I am going to wait a few more months, lose a bit more weight so that there is less stress on my knees. Working out - every day on my lunch hour. I am going to start with a personal trainer next week and meet up with him twice a week. My requirements were "someone I can't walk all over" and "who can handle me swearing". The woman who runs the personal training at my club laughed and said she had someone perfect for me. I meet him on Tuesday. Ok. Off to knit some. And watch a movie. Posted by Morgan at 7:50 PM

March 17, 2006holy moley...I haven't posted yet in MARCH??? And the month is half over. CRAPOLA!! Let me do a quick catch up. I did find the cord for my camera. I just need to take some more pictures. Plus I'm too damn tired at the moment to post them. Here is what I have been doing: 1. Cast on for my SFC sweater and am doing the ribbing. 2. Working on my Eunny vest 3. Lost some weight 4. Just bought a new clothing size (smaller!) ... tonight when I was in the store I asked another customer about the fit of pants that I felt were too small. She said they looked great. It made me look again. I realized I've been wearing clothes way too big. 5. Working my butt off 6. Was sick ... so sick I didn't want to knit. 7. Feeling better and am working out during my lunches. 8. Had to frog my socks that I was working on cuz I screwed up the heel. 9. Signed up for a running clinic 10. Worked with some Noro (cool pics of it) 11. Got my pattern for the Perfect Sweater from the Mason Dixon gals with my design criteria. Am just waiting for the yarn! So thats about it. I'll try to get pictures up this weekend. Posted by Morgan at 10:09 PM
